PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION POLICY

GVA Tax Services SA (head office: 26 rue de Candolle, 1205 Geneva) informs its clients of the data processing it carries out as data controller, in compliance with the FADP of September 25, 2020.

  1. Scope of Application

This policy applies to our tax services, tax consulting, and administrative management. By contracting with us, you accept its conditions.

  • Personal data: information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
  • Processing: any operation on data (collection, use, etc.).
  • Data controller: entity determining the purposes and means of processing.
  • Processor: entity processing data on behalf of the controller.
  • Data security breach: loss, alteration, or unauthorized access to data.
  1. Collected Data and Purposes We collect:
  • Identification data: name, first name, postal/email address, telephone, date of birth, marital status (if relevant).
  • Financial/tax data: bank details, income, assets/liabilities, tax returns, accounting documents.

Purposes (adaptable) :

  • Performance of tax/consulting services.
  • Accounting management and tax declarations.
  • Compliance with legal obligations (e.g., anti-money laundering).
  • Service improvement.
  1. Recipients
  • Processors: providers for accounting/tax software, with equivalent security measures.
  • Third parties: authorities (e.g., Swiss tax administration) if required by law, or to protect our rights.
  1. Security

Appropriate technical/organizational measures: access management, encryption, regular audits to prevent loss or unauthorized access.

  1. International

 Transfers Main processing in Switzerland. For transfers to countries without adequate protection (e.g., outside EU/EEA), standard contractual clauses (Art. 16 para. 2 FADP).

  1. Retention

Duration necessary for purposes or legal obligations (e.g., 10 years for tax documents), then deletion/anonymization.

Rectification, portability, deletion, objection, or consent withdrawal. Contact us (see §9). Complaint possible with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
